I'm New - What Can I Expect?
Before the Service

choose a worship service
Prince of Peace! Church offers Sunday worship service at 9:00 am.
find the church
Located in Davenport, Iowa, Prince of Peace! is a great community church for the surrounding communities in the Quad Cities. We're located at 415 W 53rd Street, across from North High School.
check in young children
Our Sunday nursery is the perfect place for children from birth to age 4. The staff and volunteers create a safe, fun atmosphere in which children can learn Bible stories. Check in is located in the south education wing of POP - take a right once you're in the main entrance. Children are also welcome to stay with parents in worship.
settle in
At POP, you’ll notice a casual atmosphere and people of all ages and walks of life. A host will welcome you when you arrive and one of our ushers will give you a bulletin, which includes church announcements and other helpful information. You can sit wherever you're comfortable and if you ever need help finding a seat, an usher would be more than happy to help you!

worship, music and the arts
This time is set aside for communicating with God from our hearts. Our worship teams lead us in modern, upbeat songs of celebration, as well as more intimate songs of worship. Many of the songs may be familiar to you if you listen to the radio stations KLOVE (98.9 FM) or WDLM (89.9 FM). In addition to our music, Prince of Peace! Church values many artistic expressions of worship including drama, dance, multi-media and more. Everyone worships in his or her own unique way – for many, that means singing, clapping along and raising hands, and for others it means quietly reflecting on the words. You’re welcome to do whatever makes you feel most comfortable.
offering
Each week POP receives an offering. As a guest, please do not feel any pressure to give. This is an act of worship for our regular attendees, allowing them to thank God for all of the great work He is doing in their lives. It also gives Prince of Peace! Church the means to reach more people for Christ in the future.
the message (sermon)
Every weekend, you will hear a relevant, straightforward message that is based on Scripture and is designed to be helpful in your everyday life. We trust that these messages will help you develop a growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and provide a strong biblical foundation for your life.
communion
The first and second Sunday of each month, we celebrate communion together. Anyone can participate in this time of reflection and prayer – as long as they’ve made the decision to follow Jesus Christ. The wine or juice and bread that we share represent the life He gave up so that our sins could be forgiven.
After the service

visit the Connection Corner
As a guest, you'll be asked to fill out a Connection Card during our service. Take your completed card to the Connection Corner (located near the main entrance) and meet some of our volunteers and leaders. They're happy to answer any questions that you may have about POP and have a special gift for you and your family. The Connection Corner is home to many opportunities that you may want to take advantage of and is located on the south side of the main entrance.
pick up your kids
Make sure that you have the security tags that nursery workers gave you when you dropped your kids off so that we can ensure your children's safety. Please pick up your children promptly.
visit the fellowship hall
The Fellowship Hall is home to Cafe' Peace! If you’d like a snack after the service, or want to sit and chat with friends or family, our fellowship hall has many options including donuts, fruit and coffee. Cafe' Peace! is a great place to relax, discuss the day’s message, or connect with others both before the service and after.
