Haiti: Caring with Crutches!
Here's a way we can reach out to the people of Haiti with items many of us have hanging around in our closets.
We will be collecting new or used...any size crutches for the tens of thousands of people that have become amputees. Because the terrain in Haiti is so uneven and mountainous, crutches are the best resource for these people. Unfortunately the option of prosthetic limbs is slim.
Please feel free to share this request with your friends, families and neighbors asking them to check their closets and consider donating the crutches to someone whose life will be depending on them. There are many people who have crutches laying around from an injury or surgery rehab. Let's fill up a shipping container.
